This A2 black and green print is a homage to the Bristol Scroll by Ged Palmer, one of six Bristol graffiti artists to reinterpret the scroll in their own style for PRSC here in Stokes Croft. These screen prints are part of a run of 100 from each artist.
The Bristol scroll used to be seen on every bus in the city from 1965 to the mid 1980's. It was first used in 1910 by the Bristol Aviation Company who carried the Bristol brand right across the globe during this period of industrial expansion.
The scroll reminds us of a time when Bristol controlled its own destiny and it continues to be a symbol of pride and independence for the city.
