Taken from the great Ursula Le Guin's acceptance speech for the National Book Foundation Medal in 2014, we adore the sentiment and gentle menace present in her words. We've combined her quote with imagery of colourful knights, crowns and guillotines to stay true to the edge of Le Guin's words.

These are all unique in terms of their print placement and knight colours and due to the difficulty firing this particular vintage print, there is the possibility of some of the print spitting out... in other words, the enshittification of capitalism even extends to some of our mugs! There is beauty in imperfection though, and it just makes each mug even more unique.

Because of this, unfortunately we won't be accepting returns due to print issues with this mug - although if there is anything else up with it, of course we'll replace it!

Delivery and Returns

Christmas deliveries: please order by 09:00 on Thursday 19 December so we can get it to the post office in time.

We decorate all our chinaware by hand and fire it here on site, so orders may take up to three weeks to arrive. If you're in a hurry please call us on 0117 944 4540 to check availability.
