Limited edition of 100 hand cast bone china tankards from Aynsley, the last production before the factory closed in 2014.

'The Unspeakable in pursuit of the Uneatable' - Oscar Wilde's witty opinion on fox hunting.

Despite the passing of The Hunting Act 2004, and overwhelming public support for it, fox hunting has continued much as before, with hunts bypassing the law by claiming to follow ‘trails’ – scent-based trails based on fox urine. Monitors say that only in very rare cases are trails ever laid, and hunts are simply doing what they can as they wait for the Hunting Act to be repealed.*

Decorated with traditional fox hunting scene transfers originally used to commemorate the English ruling classes from Mulder and Zoon, Amsterdam. Inside is a cheeky fox flipping the bird, by renowned Bristol graffiti artist Sepr.

The handle reads the anarchist slogan 'No Lords No Masters'.

On the base another quote from Wilde: 'Disobedience in the eyes of any one who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion'

Decorated by Bev Milward, this piece is unique by nature and very collectable.

The Artist: Bev Milward Bev Milward's makers mark

Bev Milward is an established maker working in porcelain. She is interested in the longevity and sentimentality of ceramics, how they infiltrate our lives and can be used as a tool for communication long after leaving the maker.

Her distinctive landscape collaged pieces have a strong narrative in common with her porcelain work. Her makers mark is a key which is featured on the front of the current British Studio pottery dictionary.
